So today, I finished my homework early and made Lunch with my friends in my kitchen for the first time! I sautéed zucchini and eggplant in soy sauce and put it over rice, then had gyoza on the side. Yum! Not much else went on today except for studying and cooking. A group of friend and I are thinking of going to Kyoto this weekend after Annica comes. There is also an art Exhibit that the office has free tickets for and it is all Ukyo-e prints. Mitai desu nee! I want to see!
One thing that is very different about the Japanese classes here is the number of quizzes we have. This week alone we have 4 quizzes and on Friday is our weekly exam. I am so glad to be in Level 1 because, while it is the basics there is still vocabulary that I don’t know and I am building my confidence in my language abilities. It is also good because I found out that there is a lot of reading for my elective class, so having slightly lighter load will be much better for me in the Long wrong.
